June 27th, 2015....a special day for two special people.


Lauren. I met Lauren at college, where we not only shared many of the same friends and but became friends ourselves. She is the type of person that seems like you have been friends with her forever, even if you only just met her. She has the gift of making people feel comfortable and loved, and has a love for life that is contagious. Her heart is diligently devoted to the Lord. She loves music, has a voice sweeter than any I've heard, and has a laugh that could make anyone smile. She makes the lives of those around her richer because of her friendship.

Stephen. An accomplished musician, the oldest of seven, a man who loves the Lord. I've only met him a few times, but I know that he is an amazing man because he managed to captured Lauren's heart. :)


Lauren and Stephen's story together began in the Bahamas, where they met while on a mission trip. Their journey took a new turn less than a month ago, when they entered into a new stage of life - marriage.

I know I have been non-existent on this poor little blog for the past several months, and I am sorry about that, dear readers! Yet I want to encourage you today with the words of this beautiful little song that have blessed me, by Christy Nockels. I'm listening to it right now, and only just realized the full impact of these words. How true they are. Even in the midst of the business and worries and heartache of life, God is all we need, and He always Has been. He is so good to us. May we be faithful to Him today.

I encourage you to look up the song if you haven't heard it before. I know it will encourage you, just as it has me!

Josh and Rachel || Engaged

I am so happy to be posting the engagement photos of Josh and Rachel, who are one of the most beautiful and godly couples I know. I was honored, since Rachel herself is a photographer, to take their engagement photos last week, and am excited to share them with you tonight. 

We spent our time at Phipps Conservatory in Oakland where we meandered through the green indoors, and from there we walked across the street to Schenley Park and took some pictures in the snow.  Of course, we ended with a snowball fight on the way back to the car!

Rachel and Josh, you have blessed me - not only individually but also by who you are together. Your devotion to the Lord and desire to do His will is a powerful example to not only me, but to everyone you touch. I am so happy I know you! I hope you enjoy your pictures!























Blessings on you as you prepare for your wedding day and the lifetime of marriage to follow! It has been exciting to see how God has led you, and I look forward to seeing what He has in store for the two of you - together!
