Kayla | Senior

Meet Kayla - fun-loving, hard-working, sincere, hilarious Kayla - my cousin!

I had the wonderful opportunity to take my beloved cousin's senior pictures this summer while in Michigan.  Kayla and I have both grown up going to Michigan every summer, and the place holds dear memories for both of us.  We took pictures on the beach we've walked sooo many times, the farm our uncle owns, and in a gorgeous field of black-eyed susans.

I hope your senior year goes well, Kayla!  I'm so excited that I live close to you now, and I can't wait to see where the Lord leads you in the coming years :).

Love you, girl!

CIU

I am writing from my new home!  Isn't that weird?  I now an an official student of Columbia International University, one of the best places in the world (in my humble-and-not-so-highly-travelled-opinion)!  I can't get over the people who are here - their hearts for Jesus and their lives they live in honor of that.  I haven't even been here a week, but I am so thankful that I am here.  Tuesday classes start, and I'm looking forward to them with a mixture of excitement and apprehension....  I know they will be incredible, but I just hope I am disciplined enough to keep up with the studying :).  But I am trusting in God to see me through, and I can't wait to learn and grow.

Hopefully in the next couple weeks I will be able to post updates, but in the meantime know that I am here and know that I would greatly appreciate your prayers!

Today I am...

...between memories past and hopes future.

The summer is almost ended for me, and in only a few days I will have started a new phase in my life: college.  I never thought I would be doing this, but here I am, excited and nervous and hopeful and wary and all in all confused about what to think.  If you think of it, pray for me as I leave home and adjust to my new life....  This won't be easy, but the Lord is good, isn't He?

Wedding | Thomas and Hilary

This summer I had the wonderful privilege of helping to photograph the wedding of Hilary and Thomas.  Or Thomas and Hilary :).  I suppose the reason I put Hilary's name first was, well, because I knew her first.  My sister and I have known Hilary and her sister for several years now, and although we've never been very close friends, I've always looked back with fond memories on the few days we were able to spend together.

Hilary, I hope you enjoy your pictures, and thank you for letting me be a part of your special day!
