Cherry Blossoms




"The White Way of Delight" - Isn't that what comes to mind when looking at this picture?  The part from Anne of Green Gables, when Anne first arrives in Prince Edward Island and names the lane lined with white-blossom-draped trees is so memorable, and I couldn't help but think of it while looking up through these branches.  

I'm so excited that it's finally beginning to feel and look like spring!

The Lord convicted me this morning that recently I have been trying to plan my own steps.  Not intentionally for some things, yet more intentionally that I would like to admit for others.  I have not been purposeful in the way I live my life.  I have not been seeking Him and His wisdom enough.  I have not given up my whole life and all my desires in order to see Him glorified.

I have been resisting Him.

Jeremiah 10:23 is so true.  It is not for me to direct - that is for Him to do.  My life is not my own.

I have a hard time admitting my mistakes, but how can I pretend that I have it all together when in reality I don't?  I need to be so much more committed to Jesus, so much more in love with Him, so much more willing to pick up my cross and follow Him.  I'm realizing more and more that the Christian life is not an easy one.  It is tough and many times painful.  

Yet I also have to realize that I have a Savior who is leading the way.  He is worthy of all my sacrifice and praise.

Oh, that I will hear His leading and follow.  

My life is not my own.

Three girls.  Two days.  One memorable set of pictures.

I know this post has been a long time in coming - you are not the only one who is glad to see it blogged!  I worked on these for a fairly long time, making sure they were just right.  I was relieved when I finished them and put them on a flash drive to transfer them to the other computer where I could then burn them onto a disk.  But when I opened them on the other computer, they looked terrible!!!  I'm still not exactly sure why they changed so much from one computer to another, but whatever it was, it was a real problem.  Thankfully I was able to work on them a bit more and get them to look good on both computers and it didn't take as long as expected.  So it is with a sigh of relief that I leave you with some of my favorites.  I hope you like them as much as I do!
