Year in Review | best of {weddings}

This past summer I had the opportunity to be the second photographer in five weddings!  Although I was a bit (okay, maybe more than a bit!) hesitant and nervous to play such a big role in such a special day, they went better than I expected and not only did I learn a lot, but I also had fun doing it!

I want to leave you with this encouraging passage from Titus:
 
 3 At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. 4But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. I know I said my next post would be another "best of," however...I have exciting news to share!!!!!!

...{drum roll please}...


Ladies and gentlemen, I sit before you as the *proud new owner* of a MACBOOK PRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Ahhhh...words can't express how excited I am! :D

Here are my favorite portraits I've taken this year.  It's funny to see the progression from the beginning of the year to the end....it made me realize not only how much I've improved throughout the year, but also how much more I have yet to learn!

I want to wish all of my blog readers a very (belated) Merry Christmas, and a very (not-so-belated) happy New Year!!  I know I have sadly neglected my blog this past week, but that was not from lack of pictures to put up here - instead, I've been enjoying time with grandparents, relaxing with family at home, and having New Years sleepovers and movie making bashes with friends :).  But here I am again, and I want to leave you with the words to this beautiful hymn we sang on Sunday, Another Year is Dawning.

Another year is dawning, dear Father, let it be
In working or in waiting, another year with Thee.
Another year of progress, another year of praise,
Another year of proving Thy presence all the days.
Another year of mercies, of faithfulness and grace,
Another year of gladness in the shining of Thy face;
Another year of leaning upon Thy loving breast;

Amen!  I want this year to be God-focused and purpose-filled.
