Well, I don't even really know where to start. We just got back from vacation last night around 8:30, and are still settling back in to normal life. We were up in Maine, who's state motto is "The Way Life Should Be". It's the perfect motto for it. If it wasn't for all my friends, I would definitely move up there, although I'm not too sure about their winters :).
The two weeks we spent up there were so relaxing and peaceful - just the way I like vacations! There was so much time, but also so much you wanted to do. Like read, swim, kayak, draw, and just hang out. Grandma was up there the whole time we were, as always, and Aunt Jayme was able to come up for a couple days over the 4th weekend. She's the best Aunt imaginable - everyone is always laughing when she's around. For the second week my dad's Aunt came up, and we got to spend a week with her, which was nice since we don't see her too often.
There are so many things we did, and yet it seems like the first week we were up there was so long ago. The two weeks are broken up in my mind as 'before Katahdin', and 'after Katahdin', Katahdin being the day we spent climbing up Mt. Katahdin. But that's another whole entry in itself!!! For now, the way I'll describe 'the climb' is one word: scary!!! I'll tell you about it later, when I have more time.
Right now I need to go to bed, cause I'm used to getting a lot of sleep :). I'll try to post more on Maine later. Good night world!
Ummm...this blog looks a little lonely. It needs a new comment, just to keep things more current.
So if anyone is concerned, I can assure you: the author of this blog did not go into post-Katahdin shock. I saw her today, and she seemed to be doing fine...
