Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

As I was thinking this week of what I am thankful for, the Lord came foremost to my mind. What better can I be thankful for besides my heavenly Father? I decided to come up with a relatively short list (compared to how long it could be!) of reasons I found in the Bible to be thankful for our God. Here it is:

The Lord...

...is the Maker of heaven and earth (Ps. 124:8)
...is good (Ps. 135:3)
...determined the number of stars and calls them each by name (Ps. 147:4)
...reigns (Ps. 96:10)
...is great and mighty (Ps. 147:5)
...'s thoughts outnumber the grains of sand (Ps. 139: 17-18)
...created my inmost being (Ps. 139:13)
...delights in those who fear Him (Ps. 147:11)
...looks upon the lowly, even though He is on high (Ps. 138:6)
...searches the heart and examines the mind (Jer. 17:10)
...is righteous (Ps. 129:4)
...heals the brokenhearted (Ps. 147:3)
...sustains the humble (Ps. 147:6)
...will fulfill His purpose for me (Ps. 138:8)
...searches me and knows me (Ps. 139:1)
...is great, greater than all gods (Ps. 135:5)
...'s name endures forever (Ps. 135:13)
...has exalted above all things His name and His word (Ps. 138:2)
...hems me in and has lain His hand upon me (Ps. 139:5)
...has ordained all my days (Ps. 139:16)
...raised Jesus from the dead and glorified Him (1 Peter 1:21)
...is the Rock of our salvation (Ps. 95:1)
...is the Alpha and the Omega, the one who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty (Rev. 1:8)
...is my God, in whom I trust (Ps. 91:2)

HE is the one I want to praise and always give thanks for!
