spring

Well, hello!  It's been quite some time since I've written on this sadly forsaken blog, and I do apologize for the neglect.  How busy life can get!  Other things have occupied my mind recently, like the upcoming marriage of my sister and all the wonderful details and busyness surrounding it.  I cannot wrap my mind around the fact that in five days she and I will no longer share the same last name....

But I'll leave that topic for another day and another post.

Right now I want to leave you with a whole bunch of pictures that I've taken all throughout these lovely spring days.  I know there are a lot, but since I won't be able to post very often in the next week or two, I thought I'd put them all on now!

Spring is such a lovely time to remember that God's promises never return empty-handed, but are always so perfectly and completely fulfilled.  I was encouraged today by a post from a fellow photographer, Sarah, who included a quote from a book of puritans' prayers.  It reminded me that our God is a God to be wholly trusted, for He is wholly true.

I hope these pictures give you yet another reason to praise Him!

Wow ...what beautiful reflections of spring!! :-) What lenses did you use for these pictures? Or, was it one specific lens? I'd really like to know, because some of the blur you captured in those images is exactly what I'd like to be able to capture! :-) I was so awed by the picture of the branch that was striking through the upper left hand corner in b+w! And I just love the picture of the bleeding hearts by the tree trunk, with painterly blur all around it! That one was amazing!! Please do tell me what lens you used ...I can hardly wait to find out!!
    Love you, SIS!

I LOVE this lens!!! I got it several months ago now and I have hardly ever taken it off! It is the 50mm 1.4 lens. The only downside to it is that it is fixed, so if you want to zoom in or out you have to move your feet! But it is totally worth it, and I highly recommend it!

    Love you too, SIS!
